Terms of Service

Last updated: August 6, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Nook, a personal deep-work companion app. By creating an account or using Nook, you agree to these Terms.

The service

Nook provides a Google Calendar view, drag-to-create scheduled tasks synced to Google Calendar, a Pomodoro timer, Deep Work time tracking, and an AI-generated end-of-day focus recap.

Nook is under active development and currently offered as a beta / limited waitlist rollout. Features, availability, and this waitlist process may change at any time.

Google account and calendar access

Signing in with Google is required to use Nook. If you grant calendar access, you authorize Nook to read your Google Calendar events and to create, edit, and delete the events you schedule from within Nook, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. You can revoke Nook's calendar access at any time from your Google Account permissions.

Apple Calendar (optional)

If you choose to connect Apple Calendar, you provide an app-specific password used solely to sync your iCloud calendar. Keep this credential safe, and revoke it at any time from your Apple ID account settings.

Your account and responsibilities

You must provide accurate information and are responsible for all activity under your account.

You agree not to misuse Nook — including attempting to disrupt the service, reverse-engineer it, or access it through unauthorized automated means.

Your content

You retain ownership of the tasks, descriptions, and other content you create in Nook. You grant us the limited right to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you.

The Nook name, logo, and interface are owned by us and may not be used without permission.

Third-party services

Nook relies on Google, optionally Apple iCloud, and Anthropic's Claude API to provide its features. Your use of those integrations is also subject to those providers' own terms.

Disclaimers

Nook is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. While we take reasonable care with calendar syncing and scheduling, we are not responsible for missed events, scheduling conflicts, or data loss arising from your use of the service or of Google/Apple's APIs.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Nook.

Termination

You may stop using Nook and disconnect your connected accounts at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these Terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of Nook after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
